Melissa Amisano
Melissa started her work with the International Institute of Humanitarian Law in June 2018. She is currently the Coordinator of the Institute’s Department of International Refugee Law and Migration Law.
She obtained a bachelor degree in International Sciences of Development and Cooperation, at the University of Turin, after which she graduated from the Masters of Law on Sustainable Development at the University of Milan.
After her studies, Melissa joined the Protection Unit at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Global Learning and Development Centre in Budapest, and gained experience as curriculum development assistant, instructional designer and facilitator for the Course on “Refugee Protection and Sustainable Development” at the Law Faculty in Milan.
She conducted voluntary work in support of migrant and refugee social inclusion and a field trip in Bosnia-Herzegovina, in assistance of war-affected families.
Melissa was born in Italy and has Italian/Australian nationality.
