Ms. Elizabeth Downing

Elizabeth has been working with UNHCR since 2010 in Rwanda, Tanzania, South Africa, Egypt and Lebanon. Since May 2019, she has been working in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in the role of Resettlement and Complementary Pathways Officer. She is involved in expanding Complementary Pathways in Ethiopia, through family reunification, education pathways, labour mobility and humanitarian admission programmes. The University Corridors scholarship (UNICORE) is so far the most successful scholarship programme out of Ethiopia, allowing refugee students to travel to Italy for masters degrees.
