Samuel Boutruche
Samuel Boutruche holds a PhD in European Union law from the Law Faculty of Aix-en-Provence (France) and has worked with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) since 2004. From 2004 to 2020, he served successively as a Legal Associate in the Liaison Office to the Council of Europe, a Protection Officer in Eastern Chad and a Legal Officer in the UNHCR Brussels Office where he coordinated UNHCR court interventions before the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the EU. He is now Legal Officer in the Asylum and Migration Unit in the Division of International Protection where he is notably the focal point for UNHCR’s engagement in the UN Network on Migration.
