Vincent Chetail

Director of the Global Migration Centre and Professor of International Law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.

Vincent Chetail is a Professor of international law and the Director of the Global Migration Centre at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.

He is the President of the Board of the Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, a research fellow at the University of London, and a member of the Odysseus Network for Legal Studies on Immigration and Asylum Law in Europe.

Prof. Chetail regularly works as an advisor and consultant to the UN, the African Union, and the European Union. He has been a visiting professor at various universities, including Paris II, King’s College London, Harvard, Queen Mary, and Paris XI.

He has published about twenty books and sixty articles on various international law issues. His latest book: “International Migration Law” was released by Oxford University Press.
